Q. How will I know which therapy is best for me?

A. You don't need to know beforehand, although if you know what you want that's fine, otherwise we will discuss your problem and agree together how we will tackle it. I now usually offer the combination of Hypnotherapy with Counselling and sometimes some NLP, but everyone is different, so all sessions are geared to what will help you best.


Q. Will I be able to be hypnotised?

A.  Most people can be hypnotised, unless they resist, but a hypnotherapist can't hypnotise you against your will.

 

Q. Why would someone resist?

A. Usually it is because they are afraid, maybe they have an issue with trusting others, but this is an issue we can work with to resolve.

 

Q. Will I know what's happening when I'm hypnotised?

A. Yes, you will be in a light trance, feeling very relaxed, a bit like daydreaming, and you will probably remember everything that happens.


Q. Will I lose control or do embarrassing things when I'm hypnotised?

A. No - a hypnotherapist cannot make you do anything against your will. Your subconcious mind protects you, and will not let you do anything against your will or your morals or beliefs. You choose to enter the hypnotic state, and can leave it at any stage if you choose to.

 

Q. How many sessions will I need?

A. It's difficult to say for sure, it depends on the problem, and the therapy. Generally you will need a few sessions, although to stop smoking with hypnosis, most people only need one session. Hypnotherapy and NLP are brief therapies.


Q. How long do sessions last?

 A.  Reiki sessions last an hour.  The first Hypnotherapy/combined therapy session lasts  up to 90 minutes, subsequent sessions are around an hour.


Q. Are there any side effects?

A. No all the therapies I offer are safe natural therapies which usually leave you feeling calm and relaxed and I am fully qualified and experienced in all of them.
